10 Canning Street, Edinburgh – Office Refurbishment
BMES recently completed the full Mechanical and Electrical installation at 10 Canning Street, part of the prestigious Canning Exchange office development in the heart of Edinburgh’s financial district. The works were carried out on behalf of Danobe Securities Ltd as part of a high-quality refurbishment project to create modern, flexible office accommodation.
On the mechanical side, BMES installed all new sanitary ware, domestic water services, drainage systems, ventilation, an air handling unit (AHU), and a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system to provide efficient heating and cooling throughout the space.
Working closely with principal contractor Scotwood Interiors, BMES ensured all works were carefully coordinated with the wider refurbishment programme. The building’s city centre location and high-spec finish demanded close attention to detail, efficient logistics and effective communication between trades.
Challenges around services integration and programme coordination were managed collaboratively, ensuring the project was delivered on time, to specification and to the highest quality standards. BMES also provided full commissioning, testing and handover documentation, ensuring the client received a fully operational, compliant and future-ready workspace.
