Bristow New Build SAR Hangar

BMES recently completed the full Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing installation for the SAR Hangar at Prestwick, a major project for Bristow Helicopters Ltd.

The comprehensive installation covered all key aspects of the Hangar’s systems. This included the integration of switchgear, containment systems, small power distribution, internal and street lighting, fire alarms, access control systems, CCTV, photovoltaic (PV) panels and lightning protection. Additionally, BMES was responsible for domestic water systems, drainage, ventilation, air conditioning, incoming water supply and trace heating.

Throughout the project, BMES worked in close collaboration with Muir Construction to address and overcome various challenges, particularly those posed by external factors and environmental conditions. The successful partnership ensured the timely delivery of a highly functional and efficient facility, meeting the needs of Bristow Helicopters while adhering to the highest industry standards.
