Commerce Road, Stranraer

The works included a full strip-out and replacement of the existing Mechanical & Electrical systems. Mechanical installations covered new domestic water systems with high-efficiency hot water heaters and refurbished toilet and shower areas to improve comfort and usability.
Electrically, BMES installed energy-efficient LED lighting, small power, containment systems, and accessories. Ventilation and drainage upgrades were also delivered to meet current building standards and improve overall performance.

Working within an occupied building presented logistical challenges, particularly around service integration. BMES coordinated closely with Clark Contracts to phase works effectively, minimise disruption and maintain a safe working environment.

The project was delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. A full handover package, including commissioning reports, as-fitted drawings, and O&M manuals, was provided to ensure a smooth transition to operation.
