Moorpark Primary School, North Ayrshire Council

BMES successfully delivered comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Services for the construction of the new Moorpark Primary School in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire.

The new facility, which replaces the old building next door, includes 12 primary school classrooms and a 24-place early years centre, all designed to meet modern educational needs in line with Scottish Government standards.

A strong emphasis was placed on energy efficiency throughout the project, with BMES integrating sustainable solutions to reduce energy consumption and ensure long-term cost savings. The scope of work included the installation of a Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) system, Mechanical Ventilation, a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit and a comprehensive drainage system. Additionally, BMES installed a fully controlled and visible building management system (BMS) to optimise the building’s performance.

BMES’ Electrical Package included: Containment, Switchgear, Internal / External Lighting, Lighting Controls, Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, Lightning & Surge Protection, Induction Loops, Photovoltaics, Electronic Clock System, Public Address System, Structured Cabling and Car Charging Points.
